Mary Dawn Pyle is a professor of Applied Ethics at St. Petersburg College, where she
has also taught World Religions. She is a co-author and co-editor of
Ethics Applied,
Edition 5.0
, published by Pearson Education in 2004, as well as numerous magazine
and newspaper articles.

Mary Dawn has previously served as Director of Adult Ministries for First United
Methodist Church in St. Petersburg, Florida, and as a Chaplain for the Hospice of the
Florida SunCoast. She holds a Bachelors in Social Work and a Masters degree in
Religious Studies. In addition to Christianity, she has studied Buddhism, Sufism
,
African, Native American,
and feminist spirituality, as well as other traditions.

Mary Dawn teaches classes and leads spiritual development groups. She has been
leading
groups, teaching, providing spiritual guidance since the early 1990s. She began
counseling and teaching relaxation techniques while working as an alcohol treatment
counselor at Escambia County Mental Health Center in Pensacola, Florida
, over thirty
years ago
.

She is
also a maker of handmade paper from which she creates original art. She also
enjoys writing, spending time with friends and family, and taking walking meditations
near the beach. Mary Dawn and her husband Richard Denlinger have two beautiful,
grown-up daughters and a friendly dog named Morgan.
